Mintty is a terminal emulator for Cygwin, MSYS or Msys2, and derived projects, and for WSL.
Mintty is based on code from PuTTY 0.60
Mintty is based on the terminal emulation and Windows frontend parts of PuTTY, but improves on them in a number of ways, particularly regarding xterm compatibility.
Towards the end of 2011, mintty became Cygwin's default terminal.
